Activity-Based Market Sub-Segmentation Of Cultural Tourists

During the last few decades Indonesian society has undergone a major process of change. A military-bureaucratic elite, with at the centre Presid ent Soeharto (b. 1921), whose position is dominant, has played a major role in this process. One of main features of the changes taking place is the spread of thousands of Balinese to other islands of the archipelago, with the result that their religion is now found not only in Lombok where it has existed for centuries but also on other islands, such as Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi and Kalimantan. The aim of this article is to discuss some of the developments that have taken place in Balinese religion, usually known as Hinduism or Balinese Hinduism, over the past decade, developments that may be corollaries or merely concomitants of the spread of Balinese to other islands. It is, of course, beyond the scope of this article to describe all the current develop ments in Balinese Hinduism. The focus here will be on some important trends in Balinese intellectual thinking and in government-sponsored reli gious education and rituals that seem likely to change the scope of Hindu Balinese religion which will no longer be a religion confined to the island of Bali, but one encompassing the whole of Indonesia, perhaps even ex tending beyond the borders of that country, since Hinduism is a world religion. This article will concentrate on written sources in Bali and other Indo nesian islands where Hindus are living today, rather than investigate what people are doing in the religious domain. This study reviews the strategy in developing tourism. The literature indicates that an effective strategy is a strategy that encourages the creation of perfect harmony between an organization and its environment and with the achievement of its strategic objectives. All stakeholders are expected to grow support so that the entire tourism development process runs properly. In order to maximize the expected results, it is very important to make the best use of the resources. Environmental and sustainable development approach, tourism is planned, developed, and managed in a way where natural and cultural resources do not experience quality degradation and are expected to remain sustainable so that an analysis of environmental carrying capacity needs to be applied to this approach.

Tourism Development Strategy

This study uses a quantitative approach using descriptive statistical analysis tools and linear regression to be able to simulate the results of the study by surveying respondents who traveled to several tourist attractions in Bali. The number of respondents in this study was 400 people who were determined by accidental sampling because the identity and population size were unknown. Correlation analysis and linear regression analysis tools are used to produce a description of the results and analyze the relationship between the developments of Bali tourism destinations on tourist revisit intention. This research has been able to show that domestic tourists are also very important, even as important as foreign tourists. The limitation is research gap refers to the application rather than theory therefore this research can be used as educational material for tourism destination managers and including local governments to position and treat all types of tourists, both domestic and foreign tourists.

The behaviour model of domestic tourists in decision making on re-visit to Bali, Indonesia

Provinsi Maluku merupakan salah satu provinsi yang memiliki obyek wisata yang terlengkap dan potensial di antaranya wisata sejarah, wisata rohani, wisata alam, dan wisata budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kelayakan dari gagasan wisata halal pada destinasi wisata Pantai Lubang Buaya Morella dan bagaimana perkembangan dan eksistensinya. Dengan  Model Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) menunjukkan bahwa daerah destinasi wisata senantiasa mengalami perubahan dari waktu ke waktu, dan perkembangannya dapat dilihat dari tahapan-tahapan mulai dari pengenalan sampai penurunan. Kesimpulan dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa pariwisata di Pantai Lubang Buaya Morella masih berada dalam tahapan eksplorasi (exploration). Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan semakin menurunnya tingkat pendapatan masyarakat sekitar lokasi wisata, serta kegiatan sosial ekonomi masyarakat masih sangat sederhana. Perhatian serius dari Pemerintah Daerah harus ditingkatkan untuk bagaimana destinasi wisata yang ada (wisata bahari, sejarah, dan wisata budaya) dapat dilestarikan dengan menjaga lingkungan dari kerusakan, menjaga kebersihan, melestarikan budaya leluhur, dan situs-situs sejarah untuk generasi yang akan datang.
