EMF measurements of cells employing metal—metal oxide electrodes in aqueous chloride and sulphate electrolytes at temperatures between 25–250°C
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of temperature, pressure, concentration, and time on the performance of the platinum-platinum oxide electrode were investigated over a temperature range of 25-250dgC and a pH range of 1-12 using chloride and sulphate aqueous electrolytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stoichiometric activity coefficients of sulphuric acid and the standard potentials of the lead dioxide/lead sulphate and mercury/mercurous sulphate electrodes at 25°C
Journal ArticleDOI
Dissociation constant of the bisulphate ion at 25°C
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of the ionization constant of water between 100 to 200°C by emf measurements, with some derived thermodynamic quantities
J.V. Dobson,H.R. Thirsk +1 more
TL;DR: The first experimentally derived values of the ionization constant of water and associated thermodynamic quantities, by emf measurements, within the range 100-200°C were reported in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
The permeability of gases through PTFE and other membranes at 25°C
J.V. Dobson,M.J. Taylor +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the permeability coefficients for a number of common gases passing through a PTFE film used in an electrochemical sensor are reported, and a comparison with published data, recalculated into similar units, shows a large spread of values found for the PE values, possibly due to the different thickness of the membranes used.
