Journal ArticleDOI

The use of a GnRH antagonist (Cetrorelix) in a single dose protocol in IVF-embryo transfer: a dose finding study of 3 versus 2 mg.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that a single injection of 3 or 2 mg successfully prevents LH surges for at least 3 days in all the patients treated, and the 3 mg dose is chosen as a safer dose in the single administration protocol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cryopreservation in human assisted reproduction is now routine for embryos but remains a research procedure for oocytes

TL;DR: The concern about injuries to the oocyte structures through the freeze-thaw process do not seem to be justified, and the problems with frozen-thawed oocyte fertilization has been overcome using intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
Journal ArticleDOI

Chromosome investigations in early life. II. Human preimplantation embryos

TL;DR: The overall rate of chromosome abnormalities, including 16% of abnormal diploid eggs, 6% of polyploid and 1% of haploid embryos, thus reaches 23% in this series, without any statistical significance in this small series.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cryopreservation of human embryos and oocytes

TL;DR: A comparative study of the cryopreservability of immature or mature oocytes was performed in humans, finding that immature human oocytes could survive freezing and thawing, mature and be fertilized in vitro, but with a very low efficiency.
