TL;DR: In preoperative infants with HLHS, under conditions of anesthesia and paralysis, although Qp:Qs falls in both conditions, oxygen delivery is unchanged during hypoxia and increased during hypercarbia; these data cannot differentiate cerebral from systemic oxygen delivery.
