Characterization and corrosion behavior of plasma sprayed calcium silicate reinforced hydroxyapatite composite coatings for medical implant applications
TL;DR: In this article, a calcium silicate reinforced hydroxyapatite (HA-CS) coatings were deposited on the Ti6Al4V substrate by using atmospheric plasma spray (APS) process with an aim to improve the corrosion resistance and bioactivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and structural, optical studies of Al substituted chromium oxide (Cr2O3) nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this article, the structural and optical properties of aluminium substituted chromium oxides (Cr2O3) nanoparticles were investigated using co-precipitation method using X-ray diffraction and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of Mg2+-substitution on the optical band gap energy of Cr2−xMgxO3 nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of Mg2+ concentration on the structural and optical properties of Cr2O3 nanoparticles was investigated and the most intense peak centered around 534 cm−1 in Raman spectra depicted a considerable shift when Mg 2+ is substituted at Cr3+ sites, complementing their XRD results.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of structural and thermal disorder on the optical band gap energy of Cr2O3 nanoparticles
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigations on microstructural and microhardness developments in sintered iron–coal fly ash composites
TL;DR: In this paper, the microstructural and mechanical characteristics of coal-fly ash reinforced iron metal-matrix composites (IMMCs), synthesized through powder metallurgy technique, were explored.
