This research is the earliest attempt to understand the impact of inflation and the interest rate on output growth in the context of Pakistan using the wavelet transformation approach. For this study, we used monthly data on inflation, the interest rate, and industrial production from January 1991 to May 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected economies around the world, especially in view of the measures taken by governmental authorities regarding enforced lockdowns and social distancing. Traditional studies empirically explored the relationship between these important macroeconomic variables only for the short run and long run. Firstly, we employed the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) cointegration test and two causality tests (Granger causality and Toda–Yamamoto) to check the cointegration properties and causal relationship among these variables, respectively. After confirming the long-run causality from the ARDL bound test, we decomposed the time series of growth, inflation, and the interest rate into different time scales using wavelet analysis which allows us to study the relationship among variables for the very short run, medium run, long run, and very long run. The continuous wavelet transform (CWT), the cross-wavelet transform (XWT), cross-wavelet coherence (WTC), and multi-scale Granger causality tests were used to investigate the co-movement and nature of the causality between inflation and growth and the interest rate and growth. The results of the wavelet and multi-scale Granger causality tests show that the causal relationship between these variables is not the same across all time horizons; rather, it is unidirectional in the short-run and medium-run but bi-directional in the long-run. Therefore, this study suggests that the central bank should try to maintain inflation and the interest rate at a low level in the short run and medium run instead of putting too much pressure on these variables in the long-run.

Investigating the Causal Linkages among Inflation, Interest Rate, and Economic Growth in Pakistan under the Influence of COVID-19 Pandemic: A Wavelet Transformation Approach

This study was conducted to evaluate the quality of 78 honey samples (Acacia, sage- Salvia officinalis L., linden, chestnut, honeydew and blossom) from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Reducing sugars, sucrose content, moisture, hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), free acidity, water-insoluble content, diastase activity, electrical conductivity were analyzed. The samples of honey, collected during the 2016 -2017 season, were analyzed by using recommendation methods. Results show that in 2016 and 2017, a great number of honey samples were of insufficient quality to satisfy regulatory requirements. Among the overall determined parameters, hydroxymethylfurfural and diastase activities in same honey samples were not accepted by national and international regulation. A correlation between free acidity and electrical conductivity was found in acacia and blossom honey samples. The correlation between HMF content and diastase activity showed strong negative relationship. The quality of honey was varied based on botanical origins, handling and storage conditions.

Characterization of Bosnia and Herzegovina honey according to their physico-chemical properties during 2016-2017

This study was conducted to assess the influence of and thermal treatment and storage conditions on the content of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) in some types of Latakia honey citrus, anise, black seed (Nigella sativa), polyfloral blossom A, polyfloral blossom B . stored at room temperature for six months Based on White's method, the five types of honey (citrus, mountain, anise, Erica, and oak ) were thermally treated through microwave as well as conventional methods at 50, 80, 100 ◦C for hour, two and three hour intervals. HMF content was spectrophotometrically determined at 284 and336 nm In accordance with the Syrian standard No. 412/of/2004/. Four samples citrus, mountain, anise, black seed (Nigella sativa) were stored at room temperature for six months. It was found the higher temperature and time the higher content of HMF was obtained. Comparatively, microwave-based heating was the least influential on HMF content in the four crystalized samples of citrus, mountain, anise, black seed (Nigella sativa).

Effect of storage and thermal treatment on the quality of some local brands of honey from Latakia markets

U prvom dijelu, Teorijske osnove, autorski su prikazane najbolje potvrđene teorije i empirijski podaci o kosarci, od sociokuluturoloskih rasprava, preko analiza razvoja i zna nja o i u kosarkaskoj igri, promjena pravila, strukturalne analize (stanja igre), funkcionalne analize (tehnika i taktika, strategija, informacijske komponente kosarke i komunikacije u igri, analize uloga, zadataka i poslova pojedinih pozicija u kosarkaskoj igri, analize standardnih pokazatelja uspjesnosti, motorickog u cenja i vježbanja (20 nacela poucavanja i ucenja) do pregleda dosadasnjih istraživanja o kosarci. Autor osobito naglasava da je njegov interes usmjeren, prije svega, na vrhunsku kosarku. Drugi dio, Strukturna i hijerarhijska analiza poslova u kosarkaskoj igri, autorov je vlastiti znanstveni doprinos kvantitiativnoj analizi kosarkaske igre, koja je provedena najsloženijim matematicko  statistickim multivarijatnim postupcima (faktorska i diskriminacijska analiza). Znanstveno se utemeljuje fenomen POSLOVI U IGRI kao kinezioloski sadržaj koji se odnosi na kosarku. Na temelju pomno prikupljenoga i kondenziranoga misljenja vrhunskih kosarkaskih eksperata, operacionaliziran je sustav kosarkaske igre.U kineziometrijskom smislu dobiveni klasteri poslova i atributa mogu dati velik doprinos konstrukciji instrumenata za mjerenje kosarkaskog znanja. Knjigu zakljucuje poglavlje Kosarka u buducnosti, koje je autorova vizija razvoja kosarke prema kojoj ce viziji kosarka jos izrazitije postati sport kontinuiteta tijeka igre s polivalentnim igracima vrhunskog znanja.

Analysis and learning of the basketball game

The influence of interest rates and inflation on GDP growth has been the subject of long debates and many research studies: from purely theoretical analysis of the channels through which this is accomplished, to empirical studies on a broad panel of countries. Because of these shared arguments about the impact of interest rates and inflation on GDP growth, as an area of investigation in this paper we took FYROM, Bulgaria and Romania. The first country is not part of the EU but the last two are, but all of them non-Eurozone members. The analysis aims to investigate the influence of these variables on GDP, on one hand in the country which is still on its way to enter the EU and on the other hand for the two countries that are expected to enter the common monetary area. The paper examines existing theory to create an analytical framework for the impact of interest rate and inflation on GDP, then to quantitatively evaluate the importance of these variables for the economic growth in the three countries. A cointegration analysis with three variables (interest rate, inflation and GDP growth) and a Granger causality analysis are implemented to examine the relations between these variables. Unit root tests will be applied in so as to examine the relationships among the respective data series. Our target period is from 2000 until present time, offering both a relatively positive first period until the arrival of the debt crisis by the end of the 2000s, leading to strict austerity and deflationary gaps in most countries. Our basic aim is to investigate the links between monetary and fiscal measures, especially for developing countries that strive for economic growth without having a strong home currency.

Impact of Interest Rate and Inflation on GDP in Bulgaria, Romania and FYROM

Background The use of intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator, alteplase, at a dose of 0.9 mg/kg is an effective treatment for patients with acute ischaemic stroke; this dose is also associated with high intracerebral haemorrhage rates. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether the low-dose alteplase treatment is as effective and safe as the standard-dose regimen. Subjects and methods This was a retrospective, single-centre study, and data were collected from the Hospital Stroke Registry. Based on the severity of stroke and the risk of intracerebral haemorrhage, patients were divided into two groups according to the alteplase doses given; the low-dose (0.6 mg/kg) group (n=45) and the standard-dose (0.9 mg/kg) group (n=165). Ninety-day outcomes measured as modified Rankin score and National Institute for Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, as well as symptomatic intracerebral haemorrhage and mortality rates were analysed. Results The standard-dose group had a slightly more favourable outcome (Rankin score 0-2) at 90 days after alteplase treatment than the low-dose group (64.24% vs. 53.33%), but the difference was not significant. The total intracerebral haemorrhage rate and mortality rate at 90 days were higher in the standard-dose group than in the low-dose group (21.2% vs. 13.3% and 6.1% vs. 0.0%, respectively), but these differences were not statistically significant. Conclusion The low-dose alteplase treatment applied to the patients with high intracerebral haemorrhage risk had comparable efficacy and safety profile to the standard-dose regimen.

The impact of attachment parameters in childhood on the personality of adults with mental disorders.

Characterisation of commercial honeys is a hard task initiated in response to consumers’ demands. They demand basic quality level and determination of geographical and botanical origin. During processing and bottling of honey, there is a possibility of mixing honeys from various origins and quality. The processing could cause honey alterations that can affect the properties and quality, due to the adulteration of high quality honey types with a lower price natural honey. Control of honey requires determination of parameters that could unequivocally establish origin and improve honey characterisation. Nineteen physicochemical parameters (water content, ash, content of Zn, Cd, P, Fe, Cu, Mn, Mg, K, Na, refraction index, density, electrical conductivity, pH, free-acidity, percentage of total sugars, fructose and glucose, and sucrose) were analyzed in 194 samples of 7 nectar honey types (Amorpha, Black Locust, Black Locust and Multifloral, Chestnut, Chestnut and Multifloral, Bast-small-leaved lime and White Linden, Multifloral) from three geographical regions of the North-West Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of the study was to find which physicochemical parameters correlated to the geographical origin of the honey. After applying the one-way analysis of variance - ANOVA statistical comparison of analytically measured physicochemical parameters for a given honey types and Turkey’s Multiple Comparison HSD Test, the results showed that the content of ash, Cd, Mn, Mg, K, pH and electrical conductivity was useful for discriminating honeys from three geographical regions of the North-West Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Classification of Honeys From Three Geographical Regions Based on Their Quality Control Data

Statistical modelling of quantitative evaluation of the influence of certain basketball elements onto the final result by means of regressive analysis has enabled us to come to an answer regarding the quantitative parameters and their influence on the final result. The evaluation of regressive models is extracted on the basis of differentation in the final result and differentation of certain quantitative parameters as insubordinate variables. Depending on the choice of quantitative parameters, their scope and the nature itself (absolute or relative), several different regressive models may be formed. The evaluation of influence of certain parameters on the final result has been extracted on the basis of the obtained regressive models and the correlation link between the observed variables which have been established on the basis of simple linear and partial correlation quotients. Based on the obtained results the following can be concluded: (1) the obtained regressive models are in general statistically very significant ; and (2) the obtained regressive models are statistically significant in relation to the included variables, i.e. the observed parameters. In other words, it means that in both cases there is a significant correlation between subordinate variables (difference in the total number of points) and the sets of insubordinate variables. Presented by the quotient of multiple determination, it means that: (1) for the first regressive model on the basis of apsolute elemenents of basketball, R2 = .905, and for the second model on the basis of relative elements of basketball, R2 =.736.

Analysis of results at eurobasket 2011 – final results of observed elements of basketball game

Background: Many papers have been published on the topic of basketball players’ performance. Most of them have come from authors covering the field from USA and Europe, whereas the number of papers from the rest of the world, particularly Asia, has so far been small in numbers. Objectives: Evaluate the significance of the observed parameters in relation to the game outcome (winning/losing) at the last continental championship, 2017 FIBA Asia Cup. Methods: The sample of entity consisted of 40 games played at 2017 FIBA Asia Cup. The sample of variables consisted of 13 variables registered in the manner as set out by FIBA regulations and 15 derived (relative) variables. Accordingly, two basic models of regression were formed, i.e. absolute and relative, and they had the number of total points scored as their dependent variable. The correlation between the two models was performed by means of regression and correlation analysis of the two models - stepwise regression. Results: The obtained regression models and partial correlation indicate that winning and losing performance was heavily influenced in the absolute model, by the following: ΔFGM, ΔMFT, and ΔM3, accounting for 95.9% of difference. The second model extracted: ΔFG%, ΔTO%, ΔDR%, ΔPTS3%, and ΔFT%, accounting for 90.7% of difference between winning and losing teams. Conclusions: Considering the significance of shooting and defensive rebounding, basketball coaches have been strongly advised, in this and many previous works, to pay special attention to these segments of the game.
