Adhesion property and high-temperature oxidation behavior of Cr-coated Zircaloy-4 cladding tube prepared by 3D laser coating
TL;DR: A 3D laser coating technology using Cr powder was developed for Zr-based alloys considering parameters such as: the laser beam power, inert gas flow, cooling of Zr based alloys, and Cr powder control.
Journal ArticleDOI
High temperature steam-oxidation behavior of arc ion plated Cr coatings for accident tolerant fuel claddings
TL;DR: In this paper, arc ion plating technology was applied to coat a Cr layer on Zircaloy-4 as the oxidation-resistant coating layer for ATF claddings.
Journal ArticleDOI
KAERI’s Development of LWR Accident-Tolerant Fuel
Yang-Hyun Koo,Jae Ho Yang,Jeong-Yong Park,Keon-Sik Kim,Hyun-Gil Kim,Dong-Joo Kim,Yang-Il Jung,Kun-Woo Song +7 more
TL;DR: The Fukushima accident has had a tremendous impact on Japan and the rest of the world in the areas of public health, economy, and nuclear energy policy as discussed by the authors, and international consensus has been reach.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ex-reactor corrosion and oxide characteristics of Zr–Nb–Fe alloys with the Nb/Fe ratio
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of different Nb and Fe addition ratios on the microstructure, corrosion and oxide characteristics of Zr-based alloys were investigated, and it was shown that the corrosion resistance would be more closely related to the crystal structure of the precipitate rather than the other properties such as the size distribution and the density of precipitates.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrosion behavior and oxide properties of Zr-1.1 wt%Nb-0.05 wt%Cu alloy
TL;DR: In this paper, the corrosion behavior and oxide properties of Zr 1.1%Nb-0.05%Cu and Zircaloy-4 have been investigated.
