According to the process, additives such as trace elements and a yeast extract are added into a fermentation stock solution. Addition of the additives changes the number of dominant bacteria in fermentation, activates the dominant bacteria, and can increase the gas yield and a gas production rate of the biogas. A concentration of solids in the fermentation stock solution and the ratio of the carbon to the nitrogen are controlled, thus providing good activity environment for bacteria in fermentation and largely increasing the gas production rate. The process is capable of increasing the gas yield and the gas production rate of the biogas, safe, environmental friendly and suitable for widespread popularization and application.
