A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may perform, for example, operations including receiving an encrypted secure token from a secure token application function that is remote from the communication device, storing the encrypted secure token in a secure element memory of the secure element, accessing user input requesting the encrypted secure token where the secure device processor is separate from the secure element and is in communication with the secure element, generating a modified secure token by adding identification information to the encrypted secure token and by performing a second encryption of the encrypted secure token with the identification information, receiving the modified secure token from the secure element, and providing the modified secure token to a receiving device. Apparatus and method for managing use of secure tokens

It is presented a method, performed in a one time password, OTP, generating device. The OTP device comprises an NFC/RFID, Near Field Communication/Radio Frequency Identification, interface. The method comprises the steps of: upon the OTP generating device being inserted into the RF field, generating a new OTP code; formatting the OTP code into a static message; responding to interrogation requests from an RFID/NFC reader; and responding to read requests from the RFID/NFC reader with the OTP code being part of a message as if it were a static message, using standardized methods. A corresponding device OTP generating device is also presented.

In one example embodiment, a card payment system includes a card payment apparatus, having an audio jack, configured to: read account information stored on a payment card, encode a counter value of the card payment apparatus into a onetime password, transmit the account information and onetime password via a microphone contact of the audio jack, and receive an acoustic signal via at least one earphone contact of the audio jack; and a client device, having an audio jack socket to receive the audio jack, configured to: receive the account information and onetime password via the microphone contact, transmit, to the card payment apparatus, the acoustic signal via the at least one earphone contact, decode the onetime password into the counter value, and authenticate the card payment apparatus based on the counter value of the card payment apparatus and a counter value of the client device.

A system is described that can perform a method for receiving a request to modify a universal integrated circuit card, generating a package comprising configuration data for modifying the universal integrated circuit card, instructing an over-the-air system to transmit the package encrypting the package with a transport key to generate an encrypted package, and transmitting the encrypted package to a communication device communicatively coupled to the universal integrated circuit card to provision the universal integrated circuit card. The system can also perform a method of providing a mobile network operator trusted service manager system information relating to the configuration data to enable the mobile network operator trusted service manager system to manage content and memory allocation of the universal integrated circuit card.

Methods for provisioning universal integrated circuit cards

A transform-enabled integrated circuit for use in cryptographic proof-of-work systems is provided. The transform-enabled integrated circuit includes a transformation block embedded among other circuitry components within the cryptographic datapath of the transform-enabled integrated circuit. The transformation block may be configured at a time subsequent to the manufacture of the integrated circuit to embody as circuitry any one of a plurality of mathematical transformation functions, thus enabling a user to systemically modify the results of cryptographic operations performed by the integrated circuit while retaining the high performance and efficiency characteristics of application specific integrated circuits. Methods, apparatus and systems for securing user-associated passwords used in transactions are disclosed. The methods include a user computing device receiving a user-associated password such as a PIN from a user, where the user-associated password is operable to authenticate an identity of a user. The user-associated password may be received in response to the user receiving a request for the user-associated password from a third party such as a merchant. The user computing device may generate a temporary password such as a one-time password, dynamic password, or the like, and encrypt the user-associated password using the temporary password. The encrypted user-associated password may then be communicated to the third party in lieu of the user-associated password received by the user.
