The luminescent properties of divalent europium complexes of crown ethers and cryptands
TL;DR: In this article, the luminescence properties of divalent europium complexes with crown ether, azacrown ether, N-pivot-azacrown- ether, and cryptand in methanol or water have been systematically investigated under UV irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mutual separation characteristics for the yttrium and lanthanides with chemical vapor transport process mediated by metal chloride gaseous complexes
TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical vapor transport (CVT) efficiency for pure yttrium chloride YCl 3 mediated via RAl n Cl 3+3 n vapor complex was measured and compared with those of lanthanoid chloride LnCl 3 (Ln=Dy, Ho, Er), in which these four kinds of rare earth ion R(III), especially Ho, Y and Er, have very similar ionic radius values.
Journal ArticleDOI
Separation and recovery of rare earths via a dry chemical vapour transport based on halide gaseous complexes
TL;DR: In this paper, the progress in the field of mutual separation of rare earths from the rare earth ores and their recovery from rare earth containing industrial waste by the dry chemical vapour transport (CVT) process mediated by the corresponding gaseous rare earth complexes with aluminum or alkali chlorides, RAI n Cl 3+3 n or KRCl 4, is reviewed and discussed on the basis of their thermodynamic characteristics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Water-Soluble Lanthanide Porphyrin Sandwich Complexes: Bis(tetrapyridylporphyrinato) Cerium(IV), [Ce(tpyp)2], and Bis(tetramethylpyridylporphyrinato) Cerium(IV), [Ce(tmpyp)2]
TL;DR: In this article, a reaction of tris(acetylacetonato) cerium(III), [Ce(acac)3], with tetrapyridylporphyrinato dilithium, Li2tpyp, produces a water-soluble sandwich complex bis(tetramethylpyridynylporphyrinato) cerium(IV), in appreciable yield.
Journal ArticleDOI
The characteristics of chemical vapour transport and mutual separation for the scandium, yttrium and lanthanum mediated by the corresponding gaseous rare earth chloride complexes
TL;DR: In this article, the mutual separation characteristics of rare earths Sc, Y and La from the binary systems R 2 O 3 -R 2 O O 3 (R: rare earth, Y, La) by the chemical vapour transport (CVT) process mediated via RAl n Cl 3+3 n or RKCl 4 vapour complex under various different slopes of temperature gradient were investigated.
