TL;DR: In this article, a 1-alkylcarboxylic acid-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ionic liquids, [(CH2)nCOOHmin][Tf2N] (n = 3, 5, 7), were synthesized and used to separate neodymium (III) from Fe(III) and samarium (III), from Co(II) in aqueous solutions.

Choline derivative ionic liquids-based aqueous two-phase systems: Phase diagrams and partition of purine alkaloids
TL;DR: In this article, five kinds of environmentally benign choline derivative ionic liquids were synthesized and used for the formation of aqueous two-phase systems with K3PO4, K3C6H5O7 or K2CO3.
