Coaxial Relativistic Backward Wave Oscillator and Coaxial Master Oscillator-Power Amplifier

TL;DR: In this paper, a two and one half dimensional particle-in-cell code MAGIC has been used to investigate the nonlinear beam-wave interaction in a coaxial relativistic backward wave oscillator (RBWO) and optimize the dependence of the output power on electron beam nature parameter, slow wave structure geometry and magnetic guide field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Particle-In-Cell Simulations from a X Band Coaxial Relativistic Backward Wave Oscillator

TL;DR: In this article, a high-power x-band coaxial relativistic backward wave oscillator has been conceptually designed and analyzed, and the TMon dispersion relations in the coaxial corrugated cylindrical waveguide used in the device was calculated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of a X-Bank Relativistic Backward Wave Oscillator with Variable Couple Impedance

TL;DR: In this paper, an electromagnetic particle-in-cell code has been used to simulate the nonlinear beam wave interaction and other optimization issues of a X-band RBWO with variable couple impedance, the simulation results show: the device can high-efficiently generate microwave radiation of 950MW peak power at (9.06±O).
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel numerical synthetic technique for determination of the TMon dispersion relation in a coaxial corrugated cylindrical waveguide

TL;DR: In this article, a numerical method based on the coupling of the finite difference method in time domain with the discrete Fourier transform is applied to calculate the eigenfrequencies and eigenfield distribution of a resonant cavity which is an appropriately shorted periodic slow wave circuit of N periods at both ends.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

An injection locked oscillator for direction-conversion BPSK modulation applications

TL;DR: In this paper, an injection-locked oscillator (ILO) operating in the 58GHz ISM band is developed to demonstrate the approach using hybrid integrated microwave circuit technique, which showed the free-running performance with an output power of 267dBm at 58GHz, DC-to-RF efficiency of 266% and phase noise of -1168dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset under dc bias of 1881V and 369mA under the locked state by a 58GHz injection signal of -25dBm.
