TL;DR: This paper investigated the differences between Chinese and non-Chinese cultural groups and led to the identification of the key predictors of their academic achievement via multiple regression analysis and found that the perceived importance of learning success to family, English writing ability, and social communication with their compatriots are significant predictors for all international students.

Does Market Competition Dampen Environmental Performance? Evidence from China

TL;DR: It is found that, using a large sample of Chinese manufacturing firms between 2000 and 2005, intensified market competition has an overall negative impact on firms’ environmental performance, suggesting that firms, to a large extent, cannot escape competition via environmental differentiation.
