Rational design of phosphorescent iridium(III) complexes for emission color tunability and their applications in OLEDs

Ultrathin two-dimensional metal-organic framework nanosheets for functional electronic devices

Broadband photodetectors based on TiO2 nanotubes (NTs) array have significant prospects in many fields such as environmental monitoring. Herein, a simple spin-coating process is successfully adopted to incorporate MAPbI3 quantum dots (QDs) onto the surface of TiO2 NTs to form a heterostructure, extending the response range of TiO2 NT from ultraviolet to visible. Compared with pure TiO2 NTs, the heterostructure demonstrates an improvement of responsivity in visible range by three orders of magnitude, and maintains its response performance in the UV range simultaneously. The TiO2 NTs based heterostructure photodetectors demonstrate a relative fast and stable response in the 300–800 nm range and even have a reponsivity of 0.2 A W−1 at 700 nm. The photoelectric performance of the hybrid photodetector based on TiO2 NTs maintains well when exposed to moist air for 72 h or heated from room temperature to 100 °C. Moreover, such a TiO2 NTs/MAPbI3 QDs heterostructure device demonstrates excellent flexibility and high transparency (85%) in the 400–800 nm range, their photodetecting performance is well retained after 200 cycles of repeated bending at 90°. The present strategy that combines facile electrospinning and solution-processed QDs may open a new avenue for wide range response and flexible devices construction.

Decorating Perovskite Quantum Dots in TiO2 Nanotubes Array for Broadband Response Photodetector

Circularly polarized light exhibits promising applications in future displays and photonic technologies. Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) from chiral luminophores is an ideal approach to directly generating circularly polarized light, in which the energy loss induced by the circularly polarized filters can be reduced. Among various chiral luminophores, organic micro-/nano-structures have attracted increasing attention owing to the high quantum efficiency and luminescence dissymmetry factor. Herein, the recent progress of CPL from organic micro-/nano-structures is summarized. Firstly, the design principles of CPL-active organic micro-/nano-structures are expounded from the construction of micro-/nano-structure and the introduction of chirality. Based on these design principles, several typical organic micro-/nano-structures with CPL activity are introduced in detail, including self-assembly of small molecules, self-assembly of π-conjugated polymers, and self-assembly on micro-/nanoscale architectures. Subsequently, we discuss the external stimuli that can regulate CPL performance, including solvents, pH value, metal ions, mechanical force, and temperature. We also summarize the applications of CPL-active materials in organic light-emitting diodes, optical information processing, and chemical and biological sensing. Finally, the current challenges and prospects in this emerging field are presented. It is expected that this review will provide a guide for the design of excellent CPL-active materials.

[ 1–15 ] The phosphorescent transition-metal complexes harness both singlet and triplet excitons to improve device effi ciency greatly compared with electrofl uorescent emitters. [ 16–20 ] To meet the target of full-color fl at-panel displays and low-cost lighting sources, recent efforts have been devoted to the color tuning of these complexes. [ 21–27 ] Among all kinds of transition-metal complexes, the cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes are considered as the most attractive candidates for electroluminescent devices owing to their stable chemical structure, high luminescent effi ciency, and tunable emission wavelength over the whole visible region. [ 28–32 ]

Facile Synthesis of Highly Efficient Lepidine‐Based Phosphorescent Iridium(III) Complexes for Yellow and White Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

A dual functional 1D Cd‐based coordination polymer for the highly luminescent sensitive detection of Fe3+ and picric acid

The invention discloses a preparation method of a nano column array with controllable size and surface structure. The preparation method comprises the following steps: carrying out surface modification on SiO2 nano particles so that the SiO2 nano particles have amphipathicity, namely hydrophily and hydrophobicity; depositing a SiO2 single-layer film on a substrate by adopting a Langmuir-Blodget film technology; etching SiO2 by adopting an isotropic reaction ion etching technology to further change the sizes of the SiO2 nano particles; carrying out silicon etching on the deposited SiO2 nano particles which are used an etching mask plate by adopting an isotropic deep reaction ion etching technology and an induction coupling plasma etching technology; and etching the residual SiO2 nano particles by hydrofluoric acid and finally obtaining the nano column array with the controllable size and surface structure. According to the preparation method of the nano column array with the controllable size and surface structure, the limitation caused by the limitation of electron beam lithography and a batch machining method is effectively overcome; the surface reflectivity of solar cells can be effectively reduced; and the photovoltaic conversion efficiency of the solar cells is improved.
