Surface multiple attenuation in seabeach-shallow water, case study on data from the Bohai Sea
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-step processing workflow for removing free-surface multiples is presented, where a multi-channel prediction filter estimated from the multiples for attenuating water-layer related multiples was used for suppressing other surface multiples generated by sub-surfaces underneath the waterbottom.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Compensating attenuation due to shallow gas through Q tomography and Q-PSDM, a case study in Brazil
Joe Zhou,Sergey Birdus,Barry Hung,Keat Huat Teng,Yi Xie,Dimitri Chagalov,Amy Cheang,Darrell T. Wellen,John Garrity +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe how they successfully applied Q tomography and Q-PSDM technology to compensate the phase, frequency and amplitude loss due to shallow absorption, thus improving structure imaging and potentially accurate AVO/DHI analysis underneath shallow gas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Shallow Water Demultiple
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a workflow that involves first attenuating short-period water-layer related multiples (WLRMs) and then suppressing other long-period free surface multiples using conventional SRME.
