Identification of QTLs for relative root traits associated with phosphorus efficiency in two culture systems in Brassica napus

TL;DR: Overall, this study demonstrated a significant impact of different culture systems on the responses of root traits to P deficiency and on the detection of QTLs for the relative root traits, and identified three majorQTLs that could be employed for marker assisted selection of P efficient cultivars.
Journal ArticleDOI

Manipulation effects of prior exercise intensity feedback by the Borg scale during open-loop cycling

TL;DR: Psychophysiological variables such as RPE and HR as well as performance were not affected when exercise intensity was deceptively manipulated via RPE scores, which may suggest that unaltered RPE during exercise is a regulator of performance in this open-loop exercise.
Journal ArticleDOI

A universal agro-hydrological model for water and nitrogen cycles in the soil–crop system SMCR_N: critical update and further validation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the improvements of this model by replacing the existing approximate hydrological cascade algorithm with a new simple and explicit algorithm for the basic soil water flow equation, which not only enhanced the model performance in hydrologic simulation, but also was essential to extend the model application to the situations where the capillary flow is important.
