An advanced cleaning system comprising cleaning compositions, pads, and implements provide effective cleaning of soft and hard surfaces. The system includes (a) a handle portion, the handle portion having a proximal end and a distal end, (b) a cleaning head portion that is attached to the distal end of the handle portion and that is adapted for use with a removable cleaning pad; (c) a cradle that is secured to the handle portion, and (d) a detachable cleaning aerosol reservoir for delivering cleaning fluid onto the surface to be cleaned adjacent the cleaning head portion, wherein the reservoir is positioned within the cradle.

Advanced aerosol cleaning system

An actuator for aerosol spray cans utilizing a toe, as a pivot point, to engage the inside recess on the cup rim bead of the can (the bead which surrounds the spray nozzle) and a heel portion that extends against the valve stem mount. The body and handle of the actuator extend from the toe and heel upward and over the spray nozzle of the can with the handle being positioned approximately perpendicular to the direction of the spray exhaust of the can. Spray action is initiated by depressing the handle of the actuator with forefinger or thumb, causing the toe of the actuator to act as a pivot in the inside recess of the cup rim bead and the heel to slide against the valve stem mount. A protrusion on the body of the actuator depresses the aerosol spray nozzle creating a spray exhaust. The end of the actuator handle is formed to insert into the spray can cap and is used as a pry for removing the cap from the can.

A valve assembly for use with an aerosol container for controllably dispensing a substance disposed within the container under pressure of a propellant also contained therein. The valve assembly provides a high degree of precision control in the dispensing of the substance using a rotary actuator cooperatively engaged with a camming arrangement which transfers large rotary motion into small valve displacing linear motion. The valve is sealed by a resilient gasket which is protected from the deteriorating effects of chemicals in the substance and/or propellant by a flexibly deformable Teflon liner.

An actuator for a pressurized aerosol dispenser includes passages which lead from the container mounted valve to a discharge orifice. The actuator provides a lever action having a mechanical advantage to reduce the finger applied force required to open the valve. The pivot or fulcrum of the actuator is in the form of a generally U-shaped resilient clip which grips and rides on the mounting cup bead.
