TL;DR: In this article, a cyclic broadcast of a packetized data file containing the operating system is used to facilitate frequent upgrades of set-top terminals in broadband broadcast networks, where the broadcast includes operating system files for a number of different terminal types and data identifying the current broadcast version of the operating systems for each type of terminal.
