TL;DR: Delamanid was associated with an increase in sputum-culture conversion at 2 months among patients with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, and this finding suggests that delamanid could enhance treatment options for multi-drug- resistant tuberculosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of microbiome in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of patients with lung cancer comparing with benign mass like lesions
Sang Hoon Lee,Ji Yeon Sung,Dongeun Yong,Jongsik Chun,Song Yee Kim,Joo Han Song,Kyung Soo Chung,Eun Young Kim,Ji Ye Jung,Young Ae Kang,Young Sam Kim,Se Kyu Kim,Joon Chang,Moo Suk Park +13 more
TL;DR: Differences exist in the bacterial communities of patients with lung cancer and those with benign mass-like lesions, and the genera Veillonella and Megasphaera showed the potential to serve as biomarkers to predict lung cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phase II Study of Erlotinib in Advanced Non–Small-Cell Lung Cancer After Failure of Gefitinib
Byoung Chul Cho,Chong-Kun Im,Moo Suk Park,Se Kyu Kim,Joon Chang,Jong Pil Park,Hye Jin Choi,Yu Jin Kim,Sang Joon Shin,Joohyuk Sohn,Hoguen Kim,Joo Hang Kim +11 more
TL;DR: Elotinib seems to be a potential therapeutic option for the treatment of advanced NSCLC patients with wild-type EGFR who had SD while receiving gefitinib, and among 17 patients with biomarker results available, those lacking EGFR mutations who hadSD while receivinggefit inib showed significantly higher DCR and RR.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk factors for multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii bacteremia in patients with colonization in the intensive care unit
Ji Ye Jung,Moo Suk Park,Song Ee Kim,Byung Hoon Park,Ji Young Son,Eun Young Kim,Joo Eun Lim,Sang Kook Lee,Sang Hoon Lee,Kyung Jong Lee,Young Ae Kang,Se Kyu Kim,Joon Chang,Young Sam Kim +13 more
TL;DR: Patients in the ICU, colonized with MDR AB, should be considered for minimizing invasive procedures and early removal of the invasive devices to prevent development of MDRAB bacteremia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sarcopenia correlates with systemic inflammation in COPD.
TL;DR: Sarcopenia is very common in patients with stable COPD, and is associated with more severe dyspnea-scale scores and lower exercise tolerance, and systemic inflammation could be an important contributor to sarcopenia in thestable COPD population.
