Journal ArticleDOI

Anthelmintic activity of the latex of Ficus species.

TL;DR: The observed high acute toxicity with hemorrhagic enteritis, in addition to a weak anthelmintic efficacy, do not recommend the use of these lattices in traditional medicine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antileishmanial activity of isolated triterpenoids from Pourouma guianensis

TL;DR: The results indicate that Pourouma guianensis contains many triterpenoids and some, such as ursolic and oleanolic acids, may serve as lead compounds for new antileishmanial drugs, but chemical modifications may be necessary to avoid unselective cytotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gradient Elution for Triterpene Separation from Cecropia lyratiloba Miquel by HSCCC

TL;DR: The triterpenoid pool from the dichloromethane fraction obtained from the methanolic extract of roots of Cecropia lyratiloba Miquel was submitted to CCC using a gradient elution consisting of Hex/EtOAc/MeOH/H2O, 1/2/X/1 (X=0.5), 0.75 (B); 1.0 (C), 1.5 (D), 2.0(E)) in five steps as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-speed countercurrent chromatography as a valuable tool to isolate C-glycosylflavones from Cecropia lyratiloba Miquel.

TL;DR: A new apigeninglycoside, apigenin 6-C-Galactosyl-6"-O-beta-galactopyranoside (1), isoorientin, and a mixture of orientin and isovitexin were isolated from leaves of Cecropia lyratiloba by high-speed countercurrent chromatography using a solvent system containing ethyl acetate, butanol, methanol and water.
Journal ArticleDOI
