Journal ArticleDOI
A multicentre study to determine the value and safety of drug patch tests for the three main classes of severe cutaneous adverse drug reactions
A. Barbaud,Evelyne Collet,Brigitte Milpied,Haudrey Assier,D. Staumont,Martine Avenel-Audran,A. Grange,S. Amarger,P. Girardin,M T Guinnepain,François Truchetet,A. Lasek,Julie Waton +12 more
TL;DR: This work has shown that drug patch tests can reproduce delayed hypersensitivity to drugs and entail a moderate re‐exposure of patients to offending drugs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of cross-reactivity among radiocontrast media in 97 hypersensitivity reactions
Bérangère Lerondeau,Philippe Trechot,Julie Waton,Claire Poreaux,Amandine Luc,Jean-Luc Schmutz,Christophe Paris,Annick Barbaud +7 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that frequent CR between RCM does not follow the current chemical classification, and it is proposed to reclassify RCM, and also suggest re-challenging sensitized patients with RCM from a different CR subgroup than that of the RCM initially involved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Contact urticaria from Emla cream.
TL;DR: This first case of contact urticaria from Emla® cream was due to lidocaine and did not show any cross‐reaction with other local anaesthetics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Outbreak of contact sensitization to methylisothiazolinone: an analysis of French data from the REVIDAL-GERDA network.
Stéphanie Hosteing,Nicolas Meyer,Julie Waton,Annick Barbaud,Jean-Luc Bourrain,Nadia Raison-Peyron,Brigitte Felix,B. Milpied-Homsi,Marie-Christine Ferrier Le Bouedec,Michel Castelain,Dominique Vital-Durand,Michèle Debons,Evelyne Collet,Martine Avenel-Audran,Pascale Mathelier-Fusade,Christophe Vermeulen,Haudrey Assier,Gwendoline Gener,Isabelle Lartigau-Sezary,Amandine Catelain-Lamy,Françoise Giordano-Labadie +20 more
TL;DR: The preservative methylisothiazolinone (MI) is used in combination with methylchloroisothiazolone (MCI), but the MCI/MI mixture has been identified as highly allergenic.
Journal ArticleDOI
Contact sensitization to modern dressings: a multicentre study on 354 patients with chronic leg ulcers.
A. Valois,Julie Waton,Martine Avenel-Audran,François Truchetet,Evelyne Collet,Nadia Raison-Peyron,Jean Francois Cuny,Benjamin Bethune,Jean Luc Schmutz,Annick Barbaud +9 more
TL;DR: Modern dressings may have a low sensitization rate, but there is a lack of prospective studies in patients with chronic leg ulcers (CLUs) to evaluate this.
