TL;DR: In this article, risk is introduced in a model of irrigated Mediterranean agriculture by using a multicriteria approach and through the simultaneous use of risk programming and chance constrained programming, which enables the decision maker to study the tradeoffs and conflicts between profitability (expected returns) and risk (measured by partial absolute deviation), subject to different probabilistic resource availabilities.
