PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance by appropriately performing minus crown pavement construction in a pavement construction width area where pavement construction by a minus crown has been impossible, in a spreading and leveling device of a type which is one of a type for which a main screed and a pair of expansion screeds of the almost equal width as the width of the main screed and the pair of expansion screeds are disposed at the back of the main screed, a type for which the pair of expansion screeds are disposed at the front of the main screed, and a type for which one and the other of the pair of expansion screeds are separately disposed at the front and back of the main screed.SOLUTION: The spreading and leveling device includes a pull-up mechanism for pulling up screed plates 21b and 22b in a required length range on the side of respective inner side ends 21a and 22a of a pair of expansion screeds 21 and 22 according to a minus setting amount of a crown amount when the crown amount is set to be minus when the respective inner side ends 21a and 22a of the pair of expansion screeds 21 and 22 are expanded in such a range that they do not exceed a machine center line.

SOLUTION: The mold board 19 includes an upper mold board 19A integrated with a pipe shaft 20, and a lower mold board 19B arranged in a vertically movable manner near the lower end of the upper mold board 19A. A shaft 24, and a boss 28 and an arm 29 of an operation-direction converting means 25 are arranged on the upper mold board 19; and a pin 31 of the operation-direction converting means 25 is fixed on the lower mold board 19B. The lower mold board 19B advances from/recedes to the lower end of the upper mold board 19A in synchronization with a vertical conversion action performed with the operation-direction converting means 25, so that the gap between the mold board 19 and the road surface can be adjusted.
