This application discloses a system for recording medical image data for production on a portable digital recording medium such as CDs and DVDs. This system includes a receiving module, a processing module and an output module, with viewing program for viewing medical image data stored on the portable digital recording medium. It also discloses a method of storing medical image data on a portable digital recording medium, including the steps of receiving the medical image data, processing the data and storing the data on the portable digital recording medium, with a viewing program for viewing medical image data stored on the portable digital recording medium. It further discloses a method of selecting medical image data for recording on a portable digital recording medium, including the steps of connecting a browsing terminal to a computer database that stores the medical image data, selecting a first set of the medical image data from the computer database, and recording the selected first set of medical image data on the portable digital medium, with a viewing program for viewing the medical image data stored on the portable digital recording medium. It also discloses the method and system of retrieving medical image data that are related to the received/selected original medical image data, and recording the original and related medical image data on a portable digital recording medium.

System and method for producing medical image data onto portable digital recording media

A disk drive includes a disk drive base, a disk, an actuator arm actuatable over the disk, and a motor. The motor is operable to rotate the disk, and is coupled to the disk drive base. During operation of the disk drive, the motor emits vibrations at a source vibration frequency. A vibration absorber is coupled to the disk drive base, the vibration absorber including a cantilever beam having a fixed end and a free end.

SOLUTION: An optical disk device for focusing the irradiated light beam on the optical disk in accordance with a focus error signal is provided with: a pickup for emitting the light beam to the optical disk and detecting the reflected light; a focus error signal detecting part for detecting a noise mixed focus error signal where a groove traversing noise and the focus error signal is superimposed on the basis of the reflected light; a pseudo groove traversing noise producing part for extracting the groove traversing noise from the noise mixed focus error signal and generating the pseudo groove traversing noise having the same frequency and substantially the same amplitude as those of the groove traversing noise and also being synchronized with the groove traversing noise; and a noise cancel part for outputting the focus error signal by inverting the phase of the pseudo groove traversing noise and adding it to the noise mixed focus error signal.

An apparatus of dynamic anti-vibration for a storage device to support a storage device in a housing is provided. The apparatus includes a base board for holding the storage device, a plurality of damping elements coupled to the base board and the housing which have damping characteristics to dissipate kinetic energy and reduce the vibration of the base board, and at least one actuator coupled to the base board and the housing. A dynamic vibration absorber for a disk player includes a deck base, a deck plate movably disposed on the deck base to support a spindle motor that spins a disk, a mass body disposed around the deck plate, and a flexibly changeable connection member that connects the deck plate and the mass body. A dynamic vibration absorber including the mass and connection member reduces vibration generated when the disk spins using a reciprocal action of the mass body and the connection member relative to the deck plate.

SOLUTION: The dynamic vibration absorber of the disk player for recording/ reproducing information to and from the disk has a deck base 10, a deck plate 20 which is freely movably disposed on this deck base and holds a spindle motor for turning the disk, a mass body 30 which is disposed around this deck plate and a connecting member 40 which connects the deck plate and the mass body and is freely elastically deformable so as to make the interaction of the deck plate and the mass plate possible. The vibrations generated during the rotation of the disk are decreased by the interaction of mass body 30 and the connecting member 40.
