The present invention provides microparticles that create permanent tissue markings, such as tattoos, designed in advance for change and/or removal on demand, as well as methods for implanting the microparticles in tissue and changing and/or removing the resulting markings. Colored microparticles are constructed with specific electromagnetic absorption and/or structural properties that facilitate changing and/or removing tissue markings made using the microparticles by applying specific energy (such as electromagnetic radiation from a laser or flash-lamp) to the tissue marking site.

PURPOSE:To obtain a new skin marking ink composition excellent in adhesion to the skin, affected little by sweat and having a color different from that of laser beam. CONSTITUTION:This skin making ink composition comprises a solvent component essentially consisting of at least one member selected from among methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, amyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone and methyl isobutyl ketone, a non-red color component soluble in the solvent component, and a binder component mainly consisting of a beta-ethoxyethyl methacrylate resin. Another skin marking ink composition comprises the above composition wherein the solvent component further contains at least a 2 or 3C aliphatic alcohol. Still another skin marking ink composition comprises the above composition wherein at least one polyhydric alcohol soluble in the solvent component is further contained.

Skin marking ink composition

PURPOSE:To improve adhesion to the skin, water resistance, and perspiration resistance by incorporating a specific solvent, a fluorescent brightener soluble in the solvent but insoluble in water, and a resin. CONSTITUTION:A solvent is prepared which is at least one of ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and n-propyl alcohol. In 200-2,000 pts.wt. this solvent are dissolved 1-200 pts.wt. fluorescent brightener which is soluble in the solvent but water-insoluble, 100 pts.wt. resin soluble in the solvent but water-insoluble, a plasticizer, an ultraviolet absorber, a thickener, an antioxidant, a sensitizer, etc., and, if necessary, 2-6,000 pts.wt. drying rate regulator. Thus, an ink composition having a viscosity of 50 cP or lower is obtained.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small sized suture needle counter which can orderly recover suture needles used for surgery. SOLUTION: The suture needle counter is formed to a shape holding an annular soft member 10 with a disk-shaped protective member 12 and a flat plate member 11 from above and below. The soft member 10 is formed of a foamed urethane resin as a blank and is formed to an annular shape by opening a hole 10a in the central part of a circular shape having a thickness. A needle pricking part 10b is formed over the entire outer peripheral wall surface and if the suture needle is pricked to the needle pricking part 10b, the needle easily penetrates to the hole 10a side.
