Journal ArticleDOI
NLRP3 Inflammasome Inhibitor Ameliorates Amyloid Pathology in a Mouse Model of Alzheimer's Disease.
Jun Yin,Jun Yin,Fanpeng Zhao,Jeremy E. Chojnacki,Jacob Fulp,William L. Klein,Shijun Zhang,Xiongwei Zhu +7 more
TL;DR: Beneficial effects of JC-124 as a specific NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor in AD mouse model are demonstrated and supported the further development of NLRP2 inflammaome inhibitors as a viable option for AD therapeutics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibition of mitochondrial fragmentation protects against Alzheimer's disease in rodent model.
Wenzhang Wang,Jun Yin,Jun Yin,Xiaopin Ma,Fanpeng Zhao,Sandra L. Siedlak,Zhenlian Wang,Sandy Torres,Hisashi Fujioka,Ying Xu,George Perry,Xiongwei Zhu +11 more
TL;DR: The notion that abnormal mitochondrial dynamics plays an early and causal role in mitochondrial dysfunction and Alzheimer's disease-related pathological and cognitive impairments in vivo is supported and the potential value of restoration of mitochondrial dynamics as an innovative therapeutic strategy for Alzheimer's Disease is indicated.
