Purpose: This study was designed to examine existing research on service marketing in nursing and identify the results by analyzing research trends in medical and nursing service marketing over the last 15 years. Methods: Electronic databases were searched, including RISS, Korea Citation Index. The papers were classified by criteria, focusing on research topics, research design and statistical analysis method. Results: From 2002 to 2016, 221 research articles on medical or nursing service marketing were published in local academic journals. Most of the articles were about service quality and satisfaction. Generally questionnaire surveys were used. There were 34 papers related to nursing service marketing. Most of them were about satisfaction and had used a questionnaire survey. Conclusion: Further research needs to be done with nursing service marketing topics including a variety of themes such as personal services and customer behaviors.

Influence of Dental Hygienists’ Core Competencies on Job Performance

This study was conducted from December 26, 2018 to January 4, 2019 in order to analyze the effects of hospital internal marketing on job performance and loyalty based on nurses' perception. The participants were 250 nurses at general hospitals located in Gyeonggi-do. The results of this study are as follows: First, internal marketing in hospitals had a statistically significant effect on organizational and future vision, education and training systems, communication, organizational attributes, and job performance (F=29.118, p<.001). The training system, organizational and future vision, compensation and welfare system, and work management environment were found to have a statistically significant effect (F=38.671, p <.001) on loyalty, and the effect of job performance on loyalty was statistically significant (F=87.324, p<.001). Second, the relationship between hospital internal marketing based on nurses' perception and loyalty was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on stage 1 job performance (p<.001) and a statistically significant positive effect on stage 2 loyalty (+) (P <.001). The third-level internal marketing regression coefficient was significant, and job performance was also significant (P <.001). Based on these results, there is a need for hospital management to strengthen internal marketing in order to increase performance level and loyalty among nurses.

The effective recovery of medical services contributes to reduction in marketing costs for new customer attraction and improvement in the business performance of long term. So it is needed to research many different factors that may affect the medical service recovery. In this sense, the purpose of this study was to determine the effects of medical service recovery and revisiting intention according to customer's psychographic attitudes towards complaining. The study conducted a questionnaire survey of persons who had ever used medical services with complaint experience. Individualism and Conservatism were found to have significant effects on distributive justice, procedural justice. Sense of Justice was found to have significant effects on distributive justice, procedural justice and interactional justice. Self-Confidence was found to have significant effects on procedural justice. Distribution justice and procedural justice have a significant effect on revisiting intention. These findings overall suggest that medical service providers’ service recovery effort based on their prediction of customers’ psychographic attitudes towards complaining could be a differentiate strategy that effectively realizes the recovery of medical services.
