Effects of particle shape and size on devolatilization of biomass particle
TL;DR: In this paper, a one-dimensional, time-dependent particle model was proposed to simulate the rapid pyrolysis process of wood particles with different shapes, including disc/flake-like, cylindrical/cylinder-like and equant (nearly spherical) shapes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Particle surface temperature measurements with multicolor band pyrometry
Hong Lu,Leong-Teng Ip,Andrew J. Mackrory,Luke Werrett,Justin Scott,Dale R. Tree,Larry L. Baxter +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a color-band pyrometer based on widely available, inexpensive digital imaging devices, such as commercial color cameras, and capable of pixel-by-pixel resolution of particle-surface temperature and emissivity is demonstrated and described.
