Journal ArticleDOI

Luminescence of undoped LuAG and YAG crystals

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the emission and excitation spectra and decay kinetics of undoped LuAG and YAG crystals, and showed that the presence of antisite defects results in a considerable decrease of energy transfer efficiency from the host lattice to Ce3+ ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Luminescence and defects creation in Ce3+-doped Lu3Al5O12 crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, Lu3Al5O12:Ce crystals were compared with Y3Al 5O12 :Ce, and it was concluded that in both systems the efficiency of energy transfer from the host lattice to the impurity ion can be noticeably increased by the decrease of concentration of the defects responsible for their intrinsic luminescence.
Journal ArticleDOI

Time development of scintillating response in Ce- or Pr-doped crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, the time development of a Nphels/MeV photoelectron yield of various Ce and Pr-doped inorganic crystals (mainly garnets, perovskites and silicates) was studied in detail.
Journal ArticleDOI

Luminescence and defects creation in Ce3+‐doped YAlO3 and Lu0.3Y0.7AlO3 crystals

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the charge and ionic radii of co-doping ions on the luminescence and defects creation efficiency of YAlO3 and LuxY1-xAlO 3 (x = 0.3) crystals in the temperature range 4.2-300 K under selective photoexcitation in the energy range 3.5-11.5 eV.
