Lateral differences in tactile directional perception
TL;DR: The left hand superiority found in earlier studies employing a crossmodal tactile-visual matching procedure was again shown in this investigation, and the indications of hemispheric asymmetry in the mediation of tactile-spatial performances cannot be ascribed to theCrossmodal component in these tasks.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Reliability of Reaction Time Determinations
TL;DR: The reliability of simple and two-choice reaction time as a function of number of trials and measure of central tendency was examined and it was found that 18 trials were sufficient to obtain a highl reliable determination of simple RT but 30 trials were required for a highly reliable determined of two- choice RT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stereopsis and the perception of anomalous contours.
TL;DR: A relationship between depth perception and the perception of anomalous contours has been suggested and a conventional stereoacuity test and a test of random-letter stereopsis were given to patients with unilateral right hemisphere lesions to test this hypothesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interactive effects of age and cerebral disease on cognitive performances
TL;DR: Analysis disclosed a significant overall interactive effect of age and cerebral disease on the performance of mental tests, supporting the hypothesis that acquired cerebral disease has more severe behavioral consequences in older than in younger persons.
