Journal ArticleDOI

Transport and magnetic anomalies at the structural transition to the new low temperature phase in La2−xBaxCuO4

TL;DR: In this article, drastic anomalies have been found below ∼ 60K in a narrow Ba concentration region around x=0.12, where the superconducting transition temperature is reported by Moodenbaugh et al. to have a significant dip as a function of x.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal conductivity of high-Tc oxides

TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal conductivity of La2−xSrxCuO4 and La 2−xBaxCuOO4 has been measured and the thermal current is mainly carried by phonons in the small x region.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal conductivity due to magnons in high-quality single crystals of the two-leg spin-ladder system (Ca,Sr,La)14Cu24O41

TL;DR: In order to enhance the thermal conductivity due to magnons, in the two-leg spin-ladder system (Ca,Sr,La)14Cu24O41, the authors in this paper have grown the single crystals using raw materials with high purity and tried to improve the quality of single crystals through annealing in O 2 atmosphere.
