Journal ArticleDOI

Alkene metathesis: new developments in catalyst design and application

TL;DR: In this paper, the information is classified in terms of type of catalysis and each type is subdivided according to the metal used, so that a reactivity pattern might emerge to guide future developments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct Observation of Orthogonal Orientation of an Aromatic Ring Attached to the Carbene Carbon in Fischer Carbene Complexes in Solution: Diastereotopicity of Benzyl Protons as a Stereochemical Probe†

TL;DR: In this paper, the methylene protons of benzyloxy and benzylamino groups in Fischer carbene complexes were used as a stereochemical probe to reveal orthogonal orientation of the aromatic rings attached to the carbene carbon with respect to the metal−carbene π-plane in solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solution and solid state conformation of Fischer carbene complexes vis-à-vis conformation of aryl carboxamides: complexation of the aromatic ring by tricarbonylchromium makes a difference

TL;DR: In this paper, the conformations of aryl amino Fischer carbene complexes with structurally analogous carboxamides were compared using NMR spectroscopy, and the similarity disappears when the aromatic rings were complexed with tricarbonylchromium groups.
