Journal ArticleDOI

Edge device based efficient data collection in smart health monitoring system using wireless body area network

TL;DR: In this paper, a minimum edge-shared vertex path between the source and the base station is created by updating neighbor information using Ant Colony Algorithm (ACA), and the body controller in the proposed system minimizes the data traffic entered into the network through the use of packet discard policy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-Objective Function-Based Node-Disjoint Multipath Routing for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

TL;DR: It is proved that the proposed system is achieving less energy consumption and improved network lifetime compared with existing Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), Hopfield Neural Network-based Disjoint Path set Selection (HNNDPS) and Multipath DSR (MDSR).
Journal ArticleDOI

Directional antenna based node localization and reliable data collection mechanism using local sink for wireless sensor networks

TL;DR: A Reliable Data Collection Mechanism (RDCM) which uses six directional antennas to achieve an omnidirectional pattern of radiation and has better packet delivery ratio, average energy consumption, and average end-to-end delay than VELCT, MBC, and ESWCA is proposed.
