DoE(Design of experiments) theory is used in optimization of electronic high-pressure common-rail diesel engine.The testing plan based on the new DoE theory(supported by mathematic modeling and computer-aided modeling technology),adopted experiment-design programs,polynomial-modeling and calibration programs,and so on,is to make the modeling and calculation.The results of this study showed that DoE could more reasonably make the distribution of these testing samples even the number of these samples is less than usual.These chosen samples can reflect the exact information needed for MATLAB software model and complete the calibration of this diesel engine.The comparison between calibration based on DoE model and experimental result showed that DoE modeling could imitate the actual work condition perfectly.The comparison between calibration based on DoE model and normal calibration indicated that DoE theory could not only largely reduce the capability of the samples,time,and cost of these engine experiments,but also get good calibration results as the normal way.

Optimized design of key structural parameter of common rail injector by orthogonal simulation

Research was carried out by the methods of simulation and experiments in order to improve the dynamic characteristics of common rail fuel system for marine diesel engine. Experiments on a typical integrated common rail system revealed main factors affecting pressure fluctuation and its limitation to be used on marine diesel engines. Detailed simulation about distributed common rail systems proved this new structure could improve dynamic performance efficiently and lead the future tendency for marine domain.

Experimental investigation of high pressure common rail system for marine diesel engine (I)

The stable operation of common rail system is significant for GDI engine and the rail pressure fluctuation affects the engine performance directly. The common rail volume and the cylinder diameter are the key structure parameters of common rail system to affect the rail pressure fluctuation. To design the structure parameters of high common rail system for decreasing the rail pressure fluctuation, the high common rail system model of GDI engine is established and the random algorithm is used to obtain the optimal controller parameters. Then, through the simulation experiments, the effects of structure parameters on the stability of common rail pressure are analyzed. Finally a basis is provide for optimally designing the parameters of the cylinder diameter and common rail volume.

Design of structure parameters for gasoline engine common rail system based on random algorithm

According to the characteristics and the future tendency of common rail systems for marine diesel engines，the paper used a new injector. A simulation model of the common rail system with new injector was established using HYDSIM system, pressure fluctuation of the common rail pipe and pressure loss of the injector as evaluation indicator, the injector was simulated and optimized using DOE method. Simulation results show that appropriate selection of the structure parameters of the injector structure can effectively prevent the injectors from interfering each other and degree pressure loss of injector.
