In this paper, a coaxial-probe (centered) excited stacked dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) structure is rigorously analyzed from the modal perspective The design analyzed in this paper is a stacked structure with 3 boxes of different dielectric materials and dimensions out of which 2 boxes are placed adjacent and are stacked on the 3rd box Also, the modes of the DRA structure can be identified from the analysis, which can be used to explain the broadband nature of the coupling [1] The bandwidth enhancement is seen due to a combination of several DRA modes Frequency tuning of the antenna structure is also demonstrated by exciting the antenna at higher order modes, TM 01δ , HEM 11δ and HEM 12δ , maintaining the broadband characteristics of bandwidth 29GHz The radiation characteristics of the antenna are also investigated The obtained result shows, reflection coefficient of −20dB at a resonant frequency of 982GHz with a band gain of 9023dB
