Introduction: Gastrointestinal tract is uncommon location for lipomas. If present, 90% are seen
submucosally and 10% in subserosal location. Mostly located in the colon, but they can be found in the
esophagus, small intestine, and rarely in the stomach. The vast majority of cases with intestinal lipomatosis
are usually asymptomatic and some of the cases present with intermittent obstruction, colonic perforation
and rarely intussusception.
Case Report: A 20 year male presented in emergency department with history pain in abdomen 15 days
back, progressively increasing in intensity and no passage of stool from 4 days. On the basis of history,
examination and computed tomography scan of abdomen, possible diagnosis of ileoileal intussusception
was made. Patient was admitted in emergency department of surgery and planned for surgery and
exploratory laparotomy with resection of ileum 5 cm on both sides was done. A growth was seen in
ileal intussusceptum area within 5cm margin and sent for histopathological examination to the department
of pathology. On histopathologic examination, a diagnosis of lipoma was made.
Conclusion: Lipomas are benign tumours with no risk of recurrence. They should always be kept in the
differential diagnosis of sessile polypoid lesions. Surgery is usually curative.

Yoga has been a great form of physical activity and one of the promising applications in personal health care. Several studies prove that yoga is used as one of the physical treatments for cancer, musculoskeletal disorder, depression, Parkinson’s disease, and respiratory heart diseases. In yoga, the body should be mechanically aligned with some effort on the muscles, ligaments, and joints for optimal posture. Postural-based yoga increases flexibility, energy, overall brain activity and reduces stress, blood pressure, and back pain. Body Postural Alignment is a very important aspect while performing yogic asanas. Many yogic asanas including uttanasana, kurmasana, ustrasana, and dhanurasana, require bending forward or backward, and if the asanas are performed incorrectly, strain in the joints, ligaments, and backbone can result, which can cause problems with the hip joints. Hence it is vital to monitor the correct yoga poses while performing different asanas. Yoga posture prediction and automatic movement analysis are now possible because of advancements in computer vision algorithms and sensors. This research investigates a thorough analysis of yoga posture identification systems using computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.

A Survey on Yogic Posture Recognition

Today, yoga is practiced by more people worldwide than it was in the nineteenth century, especially as a medical approach and a way to assist in potentially healing different health problems. Yoga is a productive way for people to achieve mental health, relieve stress and live a more fulfilling life. The COVID-19 pandemic has created a sense of panic and fear, which has translated in various ways amongst individuals. Integrative yoga therapy has become more of a medical approach as people seek more natural and practical methods to solve depression and anxiety. Yoga teaches an individual to focus more on the parasympathetic system; through yoga, one will focus more on accepting circumstances rather than fleeing or fighting back. The deep breathing practice enables one to develop mindfulness, thus calming the nervous system and, in turn, enhancing mental wellbeing. Science and research have proven the positive effect of integrative yoga on health when used in medical approach. This paper discusses the three major phases of the yoga process, i.e., physical postures, the phase of recognition of the psychophysical effects, and the spiritual phase. Integrative Yoga Therapy for Mental Health

Yoga has been prevalent for over 5000 years; it originated in India and has become an essential lifestyle ingredient for achieving optimal health. The goal of this article in lifestyle modification is to increase awareness about the benefits of yoga and how its practice can reduce the overall risk of chronic diseases. Yoga has been proven to be therapeutic for enhancing immunity and support management of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine disorders, obesity, cancer, and metabolic syndrome. Yoga techniques called asanas, such as pranayama for breathing regulation and dhyana for meditation, boost innate immune response, interrupt inflammation, and thereby prevent the manifestation of chronic diseases. Yoga also provides symptomatic relief for chronic arthritis by increasing joint flexibility and microcirculation. Yoga and meditation regulate neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, hormones, and cytokines that mediate interactions between the central nervous system and the immune system. These techniques reduce the psychological and physiological effects of chronic stress. Serotonin, oxytocin, and melatonin released directly due to practicing yoga have been shown to better manage anxiety and fear, especially during the pandemic. We believe the current trends of chronic disease management will become more effective with the implementation of lifestyle changes using yoga.

Introduction: Gastrointestinal tract is a uncommon site for lipomas. Intestinal lipomas are most common benign nonepithelial intestinal tumors, found incidentally. Symptomatic diffuse submucosal intestinal lipomatosis is a rare entity. Here, we present a rare case of intestinal submucosal lipomatosis, which presented as intestinal obstruction. Case report: On laparotomy, intussusception of a segment of gut was identified and sent for histopathological examination. On gross examination, intussusception of a part of gut segment with distally gangrenous gut segment was identified. On cutting open, multiple soft, yellowish polypoidal growths identified. On histopathology, multiple submucosal lipomas were identified. Conclusion: Diffuse intestinal lipomatosis is a rare condition and can lead to intestinal obstruction and should be kept as a differential diagnosis in a case of intussusceptions.
