Journal ArticleDOI

Azithromycin blocks neutrophil recruitment in Pseudomonas endobronchial infection

TL;DR: It is indicated that the azithromycin treatment in vivo results in significant reduction in airway-specific inflammation, which occurs in part by inhibition of neutrophil recruitment to the lung through reduction in proinflammatory cytokine expression and inhibition ofNeutrophil migration via the extracellular signal-regulated kinase-1 and -2 signal transduction pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pacritinib for myelofibrosis in adults with thrombocytopenia.

TL;DR: Pacritinib as discussed by the authors is a new oral kinase inhibitor specifically targeting Janus kinase 2 (JAK2), interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 (IRAK-1) and colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF-1R), and is indicated for the treatment of adults with moderate or high risk of primary or secondary myelofibrosis (postpolycythemia or post-primary thrombocytopenia) whose platelet count is less than 50 × 109/L.
