Mathematical models used in gear dynamics—A review

A real-time hybrid experimental method, in which output from an actuator-excited vibration experiment and response calculation are combined on-line and conducted simultaneously in real time, is being developed as a new seismic experimental method for structural systems. In real-time hybrid experiments, however, there is an inevitable actuator-response delay, which has an effect equivalent to negative damping. To solve this problem, a real-time hybrid experimental system (including an actuator-delay compensation method) was developed. And seismic experiments were conducted in order to demonstrate the advantages of this system. Experimental results obtained using the developed hybrid experimental system were compared with exact results obtained using shaking-table experiments, and it was found that the two experimental methods gave almost identical results. It can therefore be concluded that the structural response can be obtained precisely by using the developed hybrid experimental system. Comparison of these experiments showed the advantages of the hybrid experiments; that is, they are simple and economical. This is because the hybrid experiment requires only a small structure as the excitation model, while a shaking-table experiment must consider the whole structural system. Real-time hybrid experimental system with actuator delay compensation and its application to a piping system with energy absorber

is allowed to be inclined in the axial direction of a
rotary shaft 18 and to rotate integrally with the rotary
shaft 18 due to the engagement between guide holes 251
formed in the support arms 25 made of an iron-based
material and heads 231 of to-be-guided pins 23 made of an
iron-based material. The inclination of the swash plate
20 is guided based upon a slide guide relationship
between the guide holes 251 and the to-be-guided pins 23
and upon a slide support action of the rotary shaft 18.
The inclination-limiting protuberances 191 integrally
formed on the rotary support member 19 made of the iron-based
material come into contact with the to-be-guided
pins 23. The swash plate 20 is inclined at a maximum
angle in a state where the inclination-limiting
protuberances 191 come into contact with the to-be-guided
pins 23.

Variable displacement compressor

PURPOSE: To form a pressure space so as to prevent a delivery pressure from acting on an end plate part and obtain suitable deformation of an end plate, by providing in the end plate the pressure space which can set an ambient pressure, acting on an opposite lap side wall surface of the end plate in a fixed scroll member, to the suitable pressure in no pressure relation to the delivery pressure in an enclosed vessel. CONSTITUTION: A compressor, forming in an opposite lap side wall surface of an end plate 5a in a fixed scroll member 5 a pressure space chamber 31 communicating with a compression chamber 9 and placing this wall surface in an ambient pressure condition equal to the pressure in the compression chamber 9 so as to prevent the delivery pressure in a delivery chamber 1a from action on said wall surface, enables the end plate 5a to obtain suitable deformation due to an influence of the delivery pressure. Further an opening position in the other end of a fine hole 32 opened to the pressure space chamber 31 can be selected to the position of the compression chamber in its suitable pressure from a part immediately after the suction close to a part in the vicinity of a delivery port. Accordingly, the compressor, preventing the end plate 5a from deformation by selecting the pressure space chamber 31 to a suitable pressure, can suitably hold a pressing load and a gas leak in a lap point end. Enclosed type scroll compressor

Coupled torsional-flexural vibration of a shaft in a spur geared system is investigated. Equation of motion which contain the terms of geometrical eccentricity of gears and mass unbalance are introduced. The coupling between torsional and flexural displacements is considered in the equations which assume that surfaces of tooth of meshed gears are always in contact during the rotation. By solving the equation, it is possible to get natural frequencies, mode shapes, and frequency response of the system. It is usual to ignore the effect of the coupling between torsional and flexural vibrations. But comparing the result with them, some new phenomena were revealed. They are: (1) shifts of the critical speeds (2) transformations of the mode shapes (3) a forced vibration which is caused by geometrical eccentricity of a gear.

An impeller of a centrifugal blower includes a hub, a hub plate, a plurality of blades and a shroud. The hub plate has an outer diameter which is smaller than an inner diameter of the shroud and a portion of the blades existing in the difference between the diameters is provided with a parting plane of molds, whereby the impeller can be integrally molded by the injection molding.

Portions to be inspected daily are disposed near the front panel and one side panel adjacent thereto.
