The system includes a central management server configured to receive a first set of information including tasks to be performed at a first facility and to generate a first work schedule for a first user selected to perform the first work schedule at the first facility. The system further includes a first client device at the first facility, where the first client device is configured to receive the first work schedule from the central management server and display the first work schedule to the first user via an electronic management interface. The electronic interface is further configured to receive task completion data from the first user and send the data to the central management server. Provided is a method, system, and program for generating a workflow. A plurality of graphical user interfaces (GUI) panels are displayed through which a user may define nodes of a workflow and associate at least one action and user with each node. During workflow execution of each node, the associated user performs the associated action. Further, multiple nodes define actions that process at least one object that is routed through multiple nodes of the workflow. A workflow model is generated from information entered into the GUI panels including the nodes and workflow defined by the user through the GUI panels that process the at least one object. The workflow model is transformed into a workflow definition language (WDL) file. The WDL file is then transferred to a workflow server, wherein the workflow server interacts with a database to implement the workflow model defined in the WDL file in the database. When executing the implementation of the workflow, a request by one user associated with one node is received to access the node when no other user is accessing the node. The user requesting access to the node is granted access to the node to perform the action associated with the node. The node is locked to prevent other users associated with the node from accessing the node. The lock on the node is released when the user granted access to the node completes the action associated with the node, wherein other users can access the node after the lock is released.

Each message then invokes one or more rules which are executed by a rules engine. The execution of these rules may invoke the execution of additional rules. After all rules have executed, the account associated with the event is updated, such as by projecting the account. The rules have their parameters defined in a repository so that the parameters can be easily changed without any need to recompile. The processing systems receive authorizations and other transactions and runs in real-time as transactions arrive. As a result, balances are updated continuously and accounts are read and updated only when there is activity. Hierarchy is user configurable, including multiple hierarchy to any depth. System operations are controlled by rules and their parameters and most modifications can be accomplished without access to source code.

The process ID has a process ID indicative of the location of the other definition information set when the user role ID includes the first predetermined code indicating that the workflow processing is defined in the other definition information set. After copying and updating one of the plurality of stored definition information sets, the one definition information set can be stored in the table. A table can be provided for storing therein a process management information set having a utilization permission flag indicative of whether or not the plurality of definition information sets, stored in the table, may be copied. A table can also be provided for storing a suspended work information set including an ID of one of the plurality of works to be circulated, and a workflow ID indicative of a workflow in which the one work should be suspended.
