ZigBee is a low-rate task group 4, Personal Area Network task group. It’s a type of technology for home networking. For controlling and detecting the network, a technological standard called ZigBee was established. For short-range wireless communication, a protocol termed ZigBee resolves the demand for comparatively affordable deployment of low-power devices, with lower bit rates. Under IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee technology, ZigBee antenna is a radio frequency antenna, with ability to transmit and, receive radio waves. These serve a crucial part in the operation of ZigBee’s low-power, wireless personal area networks. Thus a patch antenna of 2. 4GHz is made with dimensions of 39x47.8mm2 with FR-4(Lossy) as substrate, with thickness of 1. 6mm and copper as a patch. VSWR of 1.06, a bandwidth of 110. 25MHz, and a gain of 2. 76dB, return loss of -29.77dB is achieved. The radiation pattern is omnidirectional. The simulated findings and the values obtained agree rather well.

A 2.4GHz Rectangular Shaped Patch Antenna for ZigBee Application

Electromagnetic (EM) technologies are gaining popularity in military applications to meet a variety of tactical demands, such as boosting battlefield communications or jamming adversary signals. To its inherent qualities such as compact design, low weight, and ease of production, the microstrip patch antennas is amongst the most valuable antennas for wireless transmission. So, A patch antenna is designed for the military applications covering a frequency range of 4. 5GHz. The projected patch antenna is composed up of a substrate, constructed of FR-4(Lossy) material with Dielectric constant of 4.4, and thickness of 1.6 mm. Copper (pure) is utilized as the material for the patch. With a VSWR of 1.04, bandwidth of270 MHz, a gain of 3.21 dB, and a return loss of −32.97dB is attained. Microstrip 50$\Omega$ Feed-line is the feeding strategy adopted in this antenna. Because of its high gain, compact design, and low profile, it can be deployed in for military application.
