A home hospitalization system based on the Internet of things, Fog computing and cloud computing

It is increasingly common for public and private organizations to deal with the challenges of data management in Big Data environments, tipycally characterized by high volume, great variety, fast generation velocity, in addition to intrinsic issues of data veracity and value. This context gave rise to NoSQL database technologies, with MongoDB as one of its prominent representatives. This paper aims to evaluate the performance of MongoDB in its cluster architecture against the standalone mode, with massive data from the National High School Exam (Enem), in addition to performing a brief interpretation of the results from the perspective of the educational domain. The initial results of query, update, and delete operations demonstrate a set of advantages and disadvantages of the experiments’ architectures. The Information Technology (IT) professional’s role in defining the scope of the database project for a more bold choice of the NoSQL architecture is highlighted in a cost-benefit perspective for organizations.

MongoDB: Analysis of Performance with Data from the National High School Exam (Enem)

Efficiency has been a pivotal aspect of the software industry since its inception, as a system that serves the end-user fast, and the service provider cost-efficiently benefits all parties. A database management system (DBMS) is an integral part of effectively all software systems, and therefore it is logical that different studies have compared the performance of different DBMSs in hopes of finding the most efficient one. This survey systematically synthesizes the results and approaches of studies that compare DBMS performance and provides recommendations for industry and research. The results show that performance is usually tested in a way that does not reflect real-world use cases, and that tests are typically reported in insufficient detail for replication or for drawing conclusions from the stated results.

An enumerated analysis of NoSQL data models using statistical tools

Due to the enormous amount of information getting stored in databases, an extra effort is needed to handle the information so that it is not lost in any way. To avoid the loss of information various methods were introduced and one such technique is introduction of NoSQL using MongoDB. In this paper, a comparison is made between structured Oracle and an unstructured MongoDB, with few identified operations in a controlled environment. The result obtained is then used to realize better performance of the structured or unstructured methods.
