Maternal mortality in the Dublin Hospitals (1950-1960).

TL;DR: A review of the chief causes of maternal mortality in the three Dublin Maternity Hospitals between January, 1950 and January, 1960 based on 191 deaths at all stages of pregnancy, labour and puerperium finds that the maternal mortality rate fell from 1 l per 1,000 live births to 0.66.
