A power steering apparatus for power steering the steerable wheels of a vehicle is disclosed in which a motor is operatively connected through a clutch and a speed-reduction mechanism in the form of a worm gear with a steering column which is operatively connected at one end with a steering wheel and at the other end with the steerable wheels. A lead line is wound around the steering column and accommodated in a first cylindrical housing for electrically connecting a torque sensor to terminals disposed outside the steering column. The worm gear comprises a worm wheel fixedly fitted on the steering column in the first housing, and a worm shaft being in meshing engagement with the worm wheel and housed in a second cylindrical housing which is disposed adjacent the first housing. The second housing has one end closed and the other end open. The worm shaft is rotatably supported at its one end by a first bearing press fitted in the closed end of the second housing and at its other end, which is connected with the clutch, by a second bearing which is fixedly mounted thereon and axially removably fitted in an intermediate portion of the second housing. The one end of the worm shaft is slidably inserted into the first bearing so that the worm shaft can be removed from the second housing through its open end in the axial direction and replaced with another one whereby the engagement clearance or backlash between the worm shaft and the worm wheel can be adjusted in an easy and simple manner. Thus, the maintenance, inspection and repair of the worm gear can be effected with ease and efficiency.

The disclosure involves an apparatus for detecting coincidence of (a) a vehicle transmission engaged in the power mode and (b) the operator's seat in a "first" position, i.e., a position other than that from which the vehicle is normally driven. Such apparatus has an annunciator, a first circuit providing a first conductive path when the seat is in the first position and a second circuit providing a second conductive path when the transmission is engaged in the power mode, forward or reverse. When, coincidently, the seat is in such position and the transmission is in the power mode, the first and second circuits coact to energize the annunciator and alert the vehicle operator.

In the filter 83, the fine particles adhere to the filter 83 with intermolecular force, while chemicals are made to pass repeatedly, and the fine particles are removed gradually. A hydraulic power steering system has a servo valve which is arranged between the delivery and suction side of a hydraulic pump. The servo valve is open in the central or normal position and controls the pressure to at least one connection of a hydraulic servomotor. When an operating element of the power steering system is actuated, the servomotor serves to generate a servo positioning force which facilitates the adjustment of the operating element. The hydraulic pump has a drive which can be switched-off, or can be switched over to an extremely low capacity or standby operation, when no servo positioning force is required.

CONSTITUTION:An electrically operated hydraulic power steering device for vehicle is provided with an electrically operated hydraulic pump 22 a piston mechanism 12 provided in a steering mechanism 1 of vehicle to assist the steering, a hydraulic circuit 34 interposed between the electrically operated hydraulic pump 22 and the piston mechanism 12, a steering angle detector means 39, and a pump control means 37A to control the operation of the electrically operated hydraulic pump 22 according to the signal detected by the steering angle detector means 39. Also a straight forward travel judgment means 37B to judge that a vehicle is in the straight forward travel mode when the detected steering angle is below a specified limit and the steering condition variation frequency is over a specified limit is provided. In addition, a pump stop means 37E to stop the operation of the electrically operated hydraulic pump 22 when it is judged to be in the straight forward travel mode by the straight forward travel judgment means 37B is provided in the pump control means 37A.

PURPOSE:To save the electric power by driving an electric motor to drive a hydraulic pump at a speed responding to the value of the rotation angle speed in the handling operation only when the rotation angle speed exceeds the standard value. CONSTITUTION:The perfectly hydraulic poser steering device has a steering valve unit 2 operated by a handle 1, and the operation oil of the amount responding to the rotation angle of the handle 1 is fed to a power cylinder 4 go generate an auxiliary steering force. In this case, a rotation angle detector 12 is furnished to detect the position of the handle 1. The output signal of the rotation angle detector 12 is input to compute the rotation angle speed of the handle 1, and the computed rotation angle speed is decided whether it is large than a present standard value or not. In this case, when the rotation angle speed is larger than the standard value, a driving signal responding to the amount of the rotation angle speed is output to an electric motor 14.

PURPOSE: To prevent overturning by computing an overturning moment based on detection signals from a load sensor and a stroke sensor, and outputting a closure actuation signal to a solenoid operation valve when the computed value reaches a preset safety reference value. CONSTITUTION: As a work W is clamped and lifted, load of the work W is detected by a pressure sensor 27, and as a clamp arm is side-shifted right or left while clamping the work W, its shift quantity is detected by a stroke sensor 28. A control device 30 computes an overturning moment based on input signals from both sensors 27, 28, and allows side shift of the clamp arm 6 till the computed value reaches a safety reference value. When the computed value reaches the safety reference value, a closure signal is outputted to solenoid operation valves 31, 32 in a hydraulic circuit to control actuation of a clamp cylinder 5, and the solenoid operation valves 31, 32 disconnect the hydraulic circuit to lock side shift by the clamp cylinder 5.

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a risk, by a method wherein an alarm is generated during turning OFF of an engine key when completion of one of a fork, a shift lever, and a parking brake is not set. CONSTITUTION:When a fork is in a lower position, a shift lever is in a neutral position, and a parking brake is in a parking position, limit switches 5 and 8 and a photo switch 7, serving as respective position sensors, are all turned ON, and a logic signal 0 from a NAND circuit 31 is inputted to a D-type flip flop 32. Thus, even when an engine key 1 is brought into an OFF-state, the D-type flip flop 32 is not actuated. When either of the limit switches 5, 8 and the photo switch 7 is in an OFF-state, a logic signal from the NAND circuit 31 attains 1 and is inputted to the flip flop 32, and when the key switch 1 is turned OFF, the flip flop 32 is actuated, o controller 33 is started to generate an alarm.

SOLUTION: A multiplicity of transporting rollers 4 for horizontally supporting a glass substrate 3 are arranged in a peeling chamber 2, and pipes 7 and 8 having shower nozzles 9 are disposed on both upper and lower sides across these transporting rollers 34. The peeling liquids in housing tanks 13 and 14 disposed below the peeling chamber 2 are supplied via supply piping 16 and 17, solenoid valves 18 and 19 and piping 15 to the pipes 7 and 8 and are recovered into storage tanks 13 and 14 via recovering piping 28 and solenoid valves 29 and 30. The peeling liquids in the storage tanks 13 and 14 are self- circulated via supply piping 16 and 17, filters 22 and 23, branch piping 24 and 25 and solenoid valves 26 and 27. The respective solenoid valves 18, etc., are so controlled as to supply the peeling liquids of the storage tanks 13 and 14 to the shower nozzles 9.
