Hybrid flux-splitting schemes for a two-phase flow model
Steinar Evje,Kjell Kåre Fjelde +1 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the FVS scheme is able to capture fast-propagating acoustic waves in a monotone way, while it introduces an excessive numerical dissipation at volume fraction contact (steady and moving) discontinuities.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Underbalanced and Low-head Drilling Operations: Real Time Interpretation of Measured Data and Operational Support
Rolf Johan Lorentzen,Kjell Kåre Fjelde,Jonny Frøyen,Antonio C.V.M. Lage,Geir Nævdal,Erlend H. Vefring +5 more
Journal ArticleDOI
On a rough AUSM scheme for a one-dimensional two-phase model
Steinar Evje,Kjell Kåre Fjelde +1 more
TL;DR: Advection Upstream Splitting Method (AUSM) schemes for hyperbolic systems of conservation laws which do not allow any analytical calculation of the Jacobian are studied in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Real-Time Evaluation of Hole-Cleaning Conditions With a Transient Cuttings-Transport Model
Journal ArticleDOI
Use of slopelimiter techniques in traditional numerical methods for multi-phase flow in pipelines and wells
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show how simple and traditional methods for simulating multi-phase flow can be improved by introducing higher order accuracy by using slopelimiter techniques, and better predictions of flow rates and pressure are obtained.
