A Survey on Load/Power Flow Methods and DG Allocation Using Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm in Distribution Networks.

TL;DR: The main contribution of the present survey paper is calculation of network power loss using power flow methods in radial distribution networks (RDNs) and the methods used are forward and backward sweep (FBS) and direct approach (DA).
Journal ArticleDOI

Renewable energy source allocation in electrical distribution system using water cycle algorithm

TL;DR: In this article , a novel metaheuristic optimization method for solving the allocation of renewable energy sources (RES) in a practical distribution system is introduced. But, the algorithm has been effectively implemented on a practical Indian 28 bus distribution system to allocate wind turbines (WT) and solar photovoltaic (SPV) arrays to achieve technical benefits of power loss minimization and bus voltage profile improvement.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Optimal Mix and allocation of Solar and Wind Energy Sources in Active Distribution System Using Jaya Optimization Algorithm

TL;DR: In this paper , a metaheuristic optimization approach for resolving allocation of renewable source allocation in power distribution network is presented, which effectively developed on a real-world Indian 28-bus network to deploy wind and solar generation for pursuing technical benefits such as minimization of power loss and voltage deviation.
