A display apparatus includes an image processor which processes an image to display an image content; a display unit which displays thereon an image content that is processed by the image processor; and a controller which displays a user interface (UI) menu including a plurality of UI items to search the image content, as one of a two-dimensional (2D) layout by which the plurality of UI items are arranged in a 2D manner, and a three-dimensional (3D) layout by which the plurality of UI items are arranged in a 3D manner , and changes displaying the one of the layouts to display the other of the layouts according to a user's command while maintaining a continuity of the arrangement of the plurality of UI items. Accordingly, search for an image content can be efficiently performed by using a UI menu.

A graphical user interface includes a plurality of pie menu levels concentrically arranged. Located within the center most section are menu selections generally of greater importance, highest probability of use, historical favorites, category headings, tabs from a tab menu, as well as other high level menu items. Levels extending from the center decrease in frequency of use while increasing in granularity of menu items. Variations in geometric shapes, number of divisions, levels, use of color or texture enhance the use of the pie menus.

Various systems and methods are provided that display various interactive user interfaces containing interactive maps. The user may use the interactive map to perform searches for data objects, toggle different layers associated with different types of objects for display, generate heatmaps based upon a grid and/or data object shapes, copy data between different interactive maps, and/or define filters to filter the displayed data. In response to user interaction with the map at a client system, tile layers are generated using server-side components, assembled into map tiles, and transmitted to client-side components to be displayed to the user. The tile layers may include a base tile layer, vector tile layer, selection tile layer, and inactive tile layer.

In cases where the right mouse click operation to access a context menu is disabled, the techniques described in the disclosure may provide access to the context menu through a long click of the left mouse button. For example, the user may click and hold the left mouse button for at least a threshold period of time, and in response thereto, the user interface is updated to display the context menu. To indicate to the user how long it would take for the context menu to appear, an icon can be displayed next to the cursor, or as a part of the cursor. The icon can show the relative time left before the context menu is displayed (e.g., an elapsed and/or remaining portion of the threshold period of time, etc.).

In monitoring a network in which nodes such as a host, a hub, rooter, etc. are interconnected, each node is indicated by an icon, and the connection between the nodes is indicated by a line. A node to be regarded is positioned in the center of the map as a root, and a node directly connected to the root is arranged as a node at the second hierarchical level on the circumference of the circle with the root centered. The node connected to the node at the second hierarchical level is arranged as a node at the third hierarchical level on the circumference of the concentric circle, with the root centered, having a larger radius than the node at the second hierarchical level. Similarly, the network configuration is assumed to be a hierarchical structure with the root centered, and an icon indicating an object at a higher hierarchical level is arranged on the circumference of a concentric circle having a larger radius.
