In1 the wireless sensor network, the sensor network has the problem of energy constraints. One of its important objectives is the energy of sensor nodes can be used efficiently, and the lifetime of the whole network system can be extended on the premise of completing the requirement of application. In this paper, the wireless sensor backbone routing algorithm is proposed. The algorithm mainly projects the distance between the next node of the transmission information and the current node, and projects it onto the line connecting the current node and the Sink node, and the projection can be converted into the energy by formula, by adding the projection's energy and the remaining energy of next transmission information's node. the sum of energy which is the largest one can be find in those next node. Through experimental simulation analysis, we can conclude that the improved LEACH algorithm can make full use of the energy in the network and the life cycle of the network can be extended.

An Improved LEACH Algorithm

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a promising technology that has a wide range of potential applications. Such network consists of large number of distributed nodes that organized themselves into multihop WSN. Each node collects information as required and sends it to base stations.Analyze the energy consumption and its effect on data transmission using Sensor Medium Access Control (S-MAC) protocol. Analyzed energy consumption with different duty cycles in S-MAC protocol and its effect on throughput of network. The main objectives is to analyse the duty cycle at which S-MAC protocol is energy efficient.
