PURPOSE:To provide the titled transparent substrate being stable and inexpensive in production having high absorption efficiency for ultraviolet rays by coating the surface of a transparent substrate with a coating film contg. dispersed fine particles of metal oxide having absorbing effect for ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION:5-10wt% fine metal oxide particles (e.g., TiO2) having absorbing effect for ultraviolet rays and <=0.1mum particle size are added to paint such as thermosetting acrylic paint, silicone paint, silicate paint, etc., and dispersed uniformly with a ball mil, etc., to obtain the paint. Then, the paint is coated on the surface of a transparent substrate (e.g., glass) and baked at a curing temp. of the paint.

PURPOSE:To make dense and improve strength of solidified shell structure without any destruction and to continuously produce a cast billet having desirable sectional shape at short working stage by forging as squeezing the non- solidified cast billet from molten metal in continuous casting to closed state from the outer circumference by forging machine. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 3 in a tundish 1 poured from a square shape (A) mold type continuous caster 5 is cooled 12 from the outer circumference and as forming the shell, it is carried to the forging roll 6 to form to a hourglass shape (B). Further, the shell side wall is pushed by the forging roll 7 to push out (C) the internal molten metal 3 toward up stream side and developing shell is sticked (D) by the forging roll 8, and as protecting the solidified shell from the destruction, the structure is made dense and the strength are improved. Further, the desirable sectional shape (E) is formed by the forging roll 9 and sent out to a feed roll 11. In this way, the shape stock 10 having the desirable sectional shape and good quality is continuously produced from non-solidified cast billet at the short working stage.

The centrifugal desulfurization equipment provided by the invention is high in desulfurization efficiency, small in gas-water ratio, small in required power, water-saving and energy-saving, small in floor space, and lower in cost.

PURPOSE:To perform stable removal of dust from fine dust-containing gas, by passing gas through a dust removing apparatus packed with a highly adsorbable substance with a specific surface area of 30m /g or more as a packing material. CONSTITUTION:Chambers partitioned by louvers 6, 7, 8 are packed with a packing material to form two packed beds 9, 10 and a Claus reaction stock gas subjected to preparatory dust removal by a cyclone is passed through said packed beds 9, 10 to perform the removal of dust. As the packing material, a highly adsorbable substance having a specific surface area of 30m /g or more, pref. 50-500m /g such as alumina, titanium oxide, a silica gel, silica-alumina, bauxite, activated carbon or coke is used. When pressure loss rises by long-time operation, only the packing material of the front stage bed 9 is withdrawn and a new packing material is charged in said bed 9. Because the removal of dust is sufficiently performed by the post-stage bed 10 during this period, the renewal of the packing material is enabled without stopping the gas stream.

PURPOSE:To perform packing up to a required level irrespectively of the level before packing by providing a pipe connected to a supply tank inserted up to a fixed height from the upper part of a packed vessel and a sealing material adhered closely to the outside circumference of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:When the packed bed comes up and the insertion port of an insertion pipe 2 stops roughly in the home position, the entire part of the supply tank 1 which is now ready to supply is lowered. The leading end of the pipe 2 is admitted into the insertion port by being corrected of minor deviation in its position with a guide plate 4. First, the pipe 2 is tightened and sealed by the elastic force of a molded sealing material 5, and force expands the sealing damper 6 which had been in the position of a dotted line. It stops in the preset level position of powder and granules. Next, when a cut valve 3 is opened, the powder and granules in the tank are supplied until the angle of repose level is reached, when the flow in the pipe 2 stops.

PURPOSE:To treat gas continuously without wasting adsorbents and remove dust effectively by blowing high-speed fluid on the surface of gas inlet of the packed layer and replacing the packed layer while making the fluid flow backward. CONSTITUTION:A rotating cage 1 is pivotally supported by a supporting rolled 4 to allow free rotation around a bearing 3. The inside of the cage 1 is divided into plural partitions with partition plates 9 and filled with adsorbents 12. The exhaust gas flows in from an inlet 22 and discharged from an outlet 23 after passing the adsorbent layer 12. A desorption zone 26 is provided opposite to the inlet 22, and a high-temperature steam inlet 31 and a desorption gas outlet 32 are provided in this zone 26. Inert gas is spouted from a nozzle 30 in this zone 26 to remove dust from the louver. Then, the adsorbents are replaced while supplying gas of specified pressure from desorption outlet zone 26b to remove dust from the packed layer.
