Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of keyhole deep penetration TIG welds of S32101 duplex stainless steel

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructure evolution of the welded joints was carefully observed by means of optical microscope (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in a single pass without groove preparation and filler metals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure and corrosion behavior of S32101 stainless steel underwater dry and wet welded joints

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructures, secondary phase precipitation and susceptibility to localized corrosion of UNS S32101 duplex stainless-steel welded joints that were welded using underwater dry and wet flux-cored arc welding (FCAW-136).
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure evolution and mechanical performance of underwater local dry welded DSS metals at various simulated water depths

TL;DR: In this article, phase balance, interface boundaries, and grain types were characterized in local dry underwater welded DSS metals, and the results showed that the austenite content of the weld metals decreased first, then increased and then decreased with the increase in the simulated water depth from 0.1m to 75m.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure Evolution and Mechanical Properties of Underwater Dry and Local Dry Cavity Welded Joints of 690 MPa Grade High Strength Steel

TL;DR: The results indicated that the microstructure of both two welded joints was similar, however, Martensite and martensite-austenite components were significantly different with different underwater welding methods such that themicro-hardness of the HAZ and FZ in the ULCW specimen was higher than that of the corresponding regions in UDW joint.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure and mechanical properties of underwater hyperbaric FCA-welded duplex stainless steel joints

TL;DR: The microstructure and mechanical properties of underwater hyperbaric flux-cored arc (FCA) welded duplex stainless steel joints were investigated in this paper, where Austenite in different zones exhibited different micro-textural components.
