Study on hydrophobicity recovery characteristics and mechanism of HTV silicone rubber after corona deterioration

TL;DR: In this article, the hydrophobicity recovery characteristics of HTV silicone rubber at different corona deterioration stage have been investigated with static contact angle method, and the surface microstructure variation with the corona degradation processing, along with the chemical composition change at the end of corona discharge have been analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), and X-ray photoelectron spectrography (XPS), respectively.

Effect of Corona on the Hydrophobicity Recovery Characteristics of HTV Silicone Rubber

TL;DR: In this article, the hydrophobicity recovery characteristics of HTV silicone rubber after different corona deterioration time using the static contact angle method were investigated, and the experimental results show that the hydophobicity can get some recovery after the CORONA deterioration, but the procedure of hydrophibicity recovery would be varied with the corona degradation condition, moreover, the hydphobicity would not recover back to the initial value after a certain condition of corona degeneration.
